Why Blog?

Blogging may be dead, but I’m still going to give it a try. At least for now.

I don’t know if Blogging is dead, but it does seem to be going away. So why blog? It’s a good question, and truth be told is that I don’t know, but what I know is that recently I have done a few personal projects / experiments and I wanted to document that work. I’m not sure if anyone will read these posts, but it doesn’t hurt to have a place to put them.

  1. Recently ventured down the path of moving my email to my own domain and I wanted to document the pain and where I ended-up. I’m sure there is a better place to do this, but I could think of one. Maybe I’ll get back into Twitter, but for now I’m going to give this a try.

  2. Next I wanted to experiment with Ghost, but that has evolved into a desire to give Hugo a try.

  3. I have been interested in IPFS. I spent a decent amount of time getting it to work inside of Docker on my Synology NAS.

  4. I was going to give Ghost a try, but I recently I have also been interested in IPFS and Hugo generates static pages that would be easy to upload to IPFS.
